Why I Started Making My Own Calls
Like many Canadian waterfowl hunters, I spent years buying calls from companies in the United States. Between exchange rates, shipping costs, duties, and ever-increasing prices, it became harder to justify spending hundreds of dollars on equipment that I felt Canadians were capable of producing ourselves.
What started as frustration quickly turned into motivation.
I wanted to build something I could be proud of. I wanted to create a Canadian-made call that could compete with anything on the market while reflecting the values and traditions of hunters here at home. More importantly, I wanted to prove to myself that with enough dedication, hard work, and attention to detail, I could create a product that puts ducks and geese on the ground just as effectively as the biggest names in the industry.
Lachance Fields to Stream Waterfowl was built on pride, independence, and a passion for waterfowl hunting. Every call represents countless hours of testing, tuning, and refinement to produce the sounds hunters need when it matters most.
There is nothing more rewarding than stepping into a field or marsh with a call you built yourself, working a flock of birds into range, and knowing that your craftsmanship played a role in the success of the hunt.
This company isn’t just about selling calls. It’s about supporting Canadian hunters, building quality products, and creating something that future generations can be proud of. It’s about carrying on the traditions of waterfowl hunting while proving that Canadian craftsmanship belongs among the very best in the industry.
When you hunt with one of our calls, you’re not just carrying a piece of equipment—you’re carrying a piece of that passion, pride, and commitment to excellence into the field.
